In industrial production, diamond deposition equipment is widely used due to its unique performance advantages. To ensure the stable operation of such equipment, regular maintenance is essential. This article will share several proven maintenance practices to help users better care for their equipment.
Routine cleaning is a fundamental aspect of equipment maintenance. During operation, diamond deposition equipment accumulates dust and deposits; if these contaminants are left unremoved for an extended period, they can compromise the equipment’s precision. It is recommended to wipe the equipment’s surfaces with a dedicated soft cloth after each use, paying particular attention to cleaning the deposition chamber and exhaust ports. For hard-to-reach crevices, a small vacuum device can be used to assist with cleaning. When cleaning, avoid using corrosive detergents to prevent damage to the equipment’s components.
Maintenance of the cooling system should not be overlooked. The diamond deposition process generates high temperatures, and the proper functioning of the cooling system directly affects the equipment’s service life. Regularly inspect the coolant for signs of sedimentation or discoloration. Ensure that the cooling lines remain unobstructed to prevent blockages. After prolonged operation, it is advisable to keep the cooling system running for a while to allow the equipment to cool naturally. If cooling efficiency declines, promptly identify and address the underlying cause.
The stability of the electrical system is critical to equipment operation. Regularly inspect power cables and connectors to ensure they are in good condition, preventing malfunctions caused by poor contact. Protect the control panel’s buttons and display from liquid splashes. When the equipment is idle, it is recommended to disconnect the main power supply while keeping the essential protective circuits energized. For setting equipment operating parameters, it is advisable to maintain original records for reference during subsequent maintenance.
In addition to the three points mentioned above, operators’ standardized operating practices are equally important. Follow the procedures outlined in the operation manual precisely and avoid running the equipment beyond its rated capacity. If the equipment emits unusual noises or displays warning messages, stop it immediately for inspection. Establish a comprehensive maintenance record that documents the date, scope of each service, and any issues identified; this will help detect potential faults before they escalate.

Adhesion Strength Testing of Diamond Films on Silicon Carbide Substrates
Diamond films, owing to their exceptional hardness, thermal conductivity, and chemical stability, are often bonded to silicon carbide substrates to form composite functional materials. The interfacial bonding strength between the two directly determines the service life of the composite under real‑world operating conditions, and the methods for its measurement as well as the interpretation of the results carry significant engineering implications.
